SPU Commencement Is Saturday, June 11
Seattle Pacific University will hold its Undergraduate Commencement exercises on Saturday, June 11, beginning at 1 p.m. at Key Arena, 305 Harrison Street, in Seattle. The event will be streamed live. More than 1,200 students will graduate from SPU this spring.
During Commencement, SPU will honor its oldest living alumni couple. Mill Creek residents Forest Gibson and Mary Louise Gibson entered Seattle Pacific College together, and Forest graduated in 1939. The couple are both now 99 years old. Commencement also marks the start of SPU’s 125th anniversary year.
The speaker is Phyllis Campbell, chairman, Pacific Northwest, of JPMorgan Chase & Co. She previously served as president/CEO of The Seattle Foundation, the largest community foundation in Washington.
