You’ll find plenty of opportunities outside of the classroom to spend time with students who think like you, and to put your interests into action by serving others. Here are just a few.



American Society of Mechanical Engineers offers a way for engineering students to build community.

Community for Students Who Love Math usually includes a large number of students like you, many of whom are majoring in Engineering and Computer Science.

Falcon Racing is SPU’s own race team! Join Falcon Racing to build, drive, and perfect a Baja racing buggy for the SAE Baja competition.

Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers. SPU’s chapter of IEEE prepares you for your future with educational, technical, and professional training in electrical, computer, and related engineering professions. Visit IEEE’s official website

National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) is one of the largest student-governed organizations based in the United States. NSBE, founded in 1975, supports and promotes the aspirations of collegiate and pre-collegiate students and technical professionals in engineering and technology.

SPU Developers (Computer Science club) is a group of students interested in honing their skills as computer scientists through extracurricular activities such as hackathons, whiteboard and interview prep, and more.

Women in Engineering and Computer Science offers a connection point for female students across these disciplines to connect and bond.
