The resource I am trying to access asks for my SPU username:
I forgot my SPU username and/or password:
The Find My ID site can help you recover your SPU username or password.
I know my SPU username and password, but I can’t log in:
Your account might be locked. If your account was locked because you typed your password incorrectly multiple times, it will unlock automatically in 30 minutes. If your account has been locked by an administrator, you will need to contact the CIS Helpdesk at (206) 281-2982 or help@spu.edu to have your account unlocked.
The system is not recognizing me as current faculty, staff or student:
To access the databases remotely, you must be a currently registered student. During term breaks, students must be registered for the next quarter (for example, Autumn Quarter registration ensures access over the preceding summer). Remote database access expires on the last day of the quarter for students who are not registered for the subsequent quarter. Once registered, library access will be restored the next day.
If you are being denied access in error, log in to this page to see what groups to which your record currently belongs and follow the appropriate path below. Records that are enabled for remote database access are part of the group named "Current."

If you cannot log in using the above link, or if you can and it shows you as a member of the group “Current,” please contact the CIS Helpdesk at (206) 281-2982 or
help@spu.edu for further assistance with your SPU account.
-
If the link shows you only as a member of “AllAuthenticated,” please contact the SPU Library at (206) 281-2228 for further assistance in determining the correct groups for your account, and your options for accessing library resources.
The resource I am trying to access does not ask for my SPU username:
I am getting a [Vendor Name] login screen and my username and password aren't working:
The links on the library website are set up to automatically request your SPU username and password, but sometimes you will have a link that bypasses this screen. To turn your URL into one that prompts for SPU login, you can use the SPU Library Link Generator. This webpage will lead you through creating a URL that will work from off-campus (if SPU subscribes to the resource).
I cannot log in to request a Summit Borrowing item:
Summit request buttons do not appear until you have signed into your record. You must be a current Faculty, Staff, or Student to request Summit items.
I forgot my username and password for ProQuest RefWorks:
Your username is your SPU email address. Use the "Forgot your password?" option on the ProQuest RefWorks Login page to reset your password.
If you have forgotten your RefWorks username and password, please go to RefWorks and click on the "Forgot Your Login Information?" link.
