What does it mean to be an Asian American Christian? How can our collective experience and faith enrich the life of the Church? How can Asian American Christians engage the ministry of racial justice and reconciliation today?
On May 5, 2015, Seattle Pacific University’s Asian American Ministry Program (AAMP), in partnership with the Office of University Ministries, will join APA communities from across the nation to commemorate Asian Pacific Heritage Month. Together, we’ll engage in an inspiring time of worship, prayer, theological reflection, and discussion on these important questions and more.

Speaker
Jonathan Tran is a Professor of Religion at Baylor University. He is the author of The Vietnam War and Theologies of Memory, Foucault and Theology, and Corners in the City of God: Theology, Philosophy and The Wire, as well as numerous articles related to theology, ethics, race, and identity politics. Dr. Tran has also served on staff with Intervarsity for over six years, and frequently speaks at churches and conferences across the country.
