Templeton Award

Associate Professor of Theology Daniel Castelo has been named a 2011 recipient of the prestigious Templeton Award for Theological Promise. This annual award goes to the 12 best post-doctoral young scholars from around the world on the basis of their doctoral dissertations related to the topic of God and spirituality. The recipients are chosen by a diverse awards committee of distinguished scholars from different continents, and they represent various major faith traditions as well as a variety of academic fields. The winners of the award will be honored at an awards ceremony at University of Heidelberg in Germany. Congratulations, Professor Castelo!
