Washington state Governor Chris Gregoire has directed that flags at all Washington state agency facilities be lowered to half-staff on Thursday, February 17, in memory of Washington State Department of Natural Resources employee Sam Gaydeski of Beaver. He died February 14 while clearing brush near Clearwater in Jefferson County.
The governor has asked other government entities, citizens, and businesses to join in this recognition.
