Flags at Half-Staff

Governor Chris Gregoire has directed that Washington State and United States flags at all Washington State agency facilities be lowered to half-staff Tuesday, June 7, in memory of U. S. Army Captain Joseph W. Schultz of Port Angeles, Washington. Schultz, 36, died May 29 of injuries sustained in Afghanistan when an improvised explosive device detonated near his vehicle.

The governor asks that other government entities, citizens, and businesses join in this recognition.
