Governor Chris Gregoire is deeply saddened by the death of U.S. Navy Petty Officer 1st Class Sean Carson of Des Moines, Washington. The governor directs Washington State and United States flags at all Washington State government facilities be lowered to half-staff in his memory on Tuesday, August 28, 2012. He was killed August 16 in a helicopter crash in Afghanistan.
