Governor Chris Gregoire was deeply saddened with the loss of Washington State Department of Natural Resources diver David Scheinost, who died July 24 while diving in the waters near Bainbridge Island to sample for paralytic shellfish poisoning. The governor is directing Washington state and United States flags at all Washington state agency facilities to be lowered to half-staff in his memory on Friday, August 3, 2012.
