The Black History Celebration Chapel is Tuesday, February 14, at 9:30 a.m. in First Free Methodist Church, adjacent to campus. Rev. Robert Jeffrey Sr., pastor of New Hope Baptist Church, will speak on “The Cross of Discipleship” from Mark 8:22-10:52. As a part of the celebration of Black History Month, the service will feature special music by the SPU Gospel Choir and a presentation by members of the Black Student Union. All campus offices will be closed during the chapel so SPU community members may attend.
