Governor Jay Inslee has directed that Washington State and United States flags at all state agency facilities be lowered to half-staff today in memory of Washington State Patrol Detective Brent Hanger, 47, of Mount Vernon, Washington. Detective Hanger died August 6 after suffering a medical condition while on assignment.
SPU is joining other state agencies in this recognition.
