Seattle Pacific University Symphonic Wind Ensemble and other instrumental groups will perform on Friday, February 27, 7:30 p.m., at First Free Methodist Church, located at 3200 3rd Ave West across from the SPU campus. Classic Russian works will be featured, as well as “Incantation and Dance” by John Barnes Chance. Other works include “After the Thunderer” from Ira Hearshen’s symphony “Themes of Sousa,” and David Del Tredici’s “In Wartime.” The SPU Symphonic Wind Ensemble is directed by Danny Helseth, director of bands at SPU.
The concert is free and wheelchair accessible.
