Washington State Governor Jay Inslee has directed that Washington state and United States flags at all state agency facilities be lowered to half-staff in memory of former Governor John Spellman, who passed away on January 15 at the age of 91. A memorial service for Spellman will be February 12, at 12 p.m. at St. James Cathedral in Seattle, followed by a Celebration of Life for the former governor and former first lady Lois Spellman at the Bell Harbor Conference Center.
Seattle Pacific University is joining other government entities, citizens, and businesses in this recognition.
