PES 3570: Biomechanics
Prerequisite: PES 2128 or BIO 2129, or permission of instructor; PES 1301 is highly recommended. This course explores the principles of motion (Newtonian Mechanics) through discussion and laboratory experiments with such topics as gait, nature of forces, aerodynamics / hydrodynamics, work-energy-power, torque, muscle-tendon force dynamics, rheology and offers analyses of selected activities including weight training, running, and swimming.
