BIO 4325: Molecular Biology |
Prerequisites: BIO 2101, BIO 3325, and BioCORE placement level 3 (or admission to a major). Detailed examination of the molecular mechanisms controlling the replication, regulation and function of nucleic acids in prokaryotes and eukaryotes. Explores foundational principles of molecular genetics, genomics and genetic engineering including the central dogma, gene regulation, genomics, biotechnology and associated techniques used by researchers in these fields. Advanced research topics in molecular biology will be addressed in the context of an original research project. Includes intensive laboratory. Extra Fee. |
