|ENG 3381: Middle-Eastern Literature|
|Prerequisite: ENG 2201 or WRI 1100 or USCH 1111 or USCH 1112 or USCH 1113. Examines the work of a variety of authors from the East/Middle East, especially stories of crossing between East and West. Particular attention will be paid to the concept of hybrid identities, exile, diaspora. Authors may include Ruffo, Mernissi, Hosseini, and Pamuk, as well as Arab-American short stories.|
