BIO 4330: Evolutionary Mechanisms |
Prerequisites: A C- or better in BIO 2103, BIO 3325, and MAT 2360, and BioCORE placement level 3 (or admission to a major). Explores population genetics as a mechanism of evolutionary change, emphasizing mutation, recombination, and selection. Considers speciation, quantitative genetics, neutral theory, phylogenetic systematics, history, and extinction. Includes discussion of micro-evolutionary and macro-evolutionary changes. Extra Fee.
