NUR 3958: Health Promotion, Assessment & Clinical Prevention
Prerequisites: (BIO 2129 and 2130 and 3351) and PSY 2470 and (CHM 1211 or 1310) and (CHM 1330 or 1360) and FCS 3340 and one of the following: EDU 2600, MAT 1300, MAT 1360, MAT 2360,HSC 4044, PSY 2360 or SOC 2360. Individual health assessment, evidence based practice and current issues in health promotion across the lifespan. Focus on social determinants of health for individuals and populations. Topics include: epidemiology, health equity, theoretical foundations for disease prevention, evidence based programs, and population based health strategies.
