New Initiatives: Summer 2013

Though I've been on the job only for a few weeks, already I'm thrilled about new initiatives we're taking in the School of Business and Economics at Seattle Pacific University. How could I not be? In addition to two exciting new degree programs, we're offering a new certificate program that will appeal equally to business professionals, seminarians, and full-time church workers. This is a strategic advance in facilitating business you can believe in.

Also in this second all-electronic version of Shareholders, you'll be pleased to learn how SPU's top team in the annual Social Venture Plan Competition has continued to even greater recognition. Their performance has inspired many. And speaking of inspiration, who is the GNAC Scholar of the Year? (Hint: He plays point guard for the Falcons and has earned a 3.82 GPA.)

Please take a moment to learn more about these stories, and then let me know what you think. I look forward to hearing from you, and to working with you in the months to come as SBE continues to break new ground.

Joseph Williams

Best regards,
Joseph Williams, Dean
