Dr. Cara Wall-Scheffler wins Women in Science award from St. Catherine's University

Dr. Cara Wall-Scheffler, Associate Professor of Biology, was honored with the Women in Science Frame-Shifter Award by the Department of Biology at St. Catherine University in St. Paul, Minnesota.  This award recognizes young women scientists who have contributed to "groundbreaking" research in their field.  Dr. Wall-Scheffler was recognized for her "innovative anthropological research on the relationships between energetics, load carrying, locomotion, and sexual dimorphism."  Dr. Wall-Scheffler traveled to St. Catherine University during the first week of May as a Visiting Scholar, where she was presented with the award, gave a public presentation describing her research, and interacted with students and faculty.  St. Catherine's Department of Biology tweeted a photo of the presentation of the award to Dr. Wall-Scheffler.  Congratulations, Dr. Wall-Scheffler!
