Curriculum paradigms

Suggested schedules for completing the MA-TESOL degree either in seven or in 10 academic quarters.

Practicum

A two-quarter supervised practicum is the capstone experience of MA-TESOL students. Students apply for the practicum two quarters before they are to graduate.

The School of Teaching ESL

MA-TESOL students may apply up to 12 graduate credits from S-TESL to their SPU graduate program in TESOL.

TESOL library

The TESOL library is located in Marston 229.  Students may check out books for two weeks.

Thesis option

Although a thesis is not required, many students opt to write a thesis as part of their program.

Conventions

The annual TESOL convention is a great place to learn more about the field and network with other TESOL professionals.
