Social Venture Plan Competition Showcase

Wednesday, April 16, 2014, 2 p.m.–6 p.m.

Each spring, teams of students from diverse disciplines and various universities develop imaginative plans to address dual bottom lines: financial and social. The event culminates in a public showcase.

Dean's Speaker Series, Executive Chef Russell Lowell

Tuesday, April 22, 2014, 9 a.m.–10 a.m.

This quarter's SBE Dean's Speaker Series welcomes Mr. Russell Lowell, Executive Chef/Owner: Russell Lowell Catering, Russell’s Restaurant in Bothell & The Garden Café at Molbak’s in Woodinville. Chef Lowell's reverence for life and cuisine, complemented by his drive to deliver an exceptional experience, makes him one of the Pacific Northwest's most respected chefs.  SBE students will interact with this entrepreneur who is following his passion.

Earth Day 2014

Tuesday, April 22, 2014, 3:30 p.m.–5 p.m.

Five time Emmy Award winning producer Hal Calbom, of the Sustainable Media Group, will be our guest speaker.  His presentation is titled, Sustainable Solutions: The Business of Green.  This special event is sponsored by the Associated Undergraduate Students of Business & Economics (AUSBE) and the student chapter of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME).  Join us in OMH 109 at 3:30 on April 22.  Refreshments will be provided.
