  • CIB Receives Kern Family Foundation Grant

    The Center for Integrity in Business in partnership with Seattle Pacific Seminary and the Center for Biblical and Theological Education has received a $116.2K Kern Family Foundation grant to establish 20 church-based communities of practice across the Puget Sound area made up of marketplace leaders, pastors, and seminarians, who will wrestle with issues of work, business, and economics and all the complexities involved in considering “faithful practice.”  The grant also includes funds for curriculum development and a psychometrically valid measure for assessing impact.  In addition, the grant will include entrepreneurship coaching with marketplace leaders from churches in economically distressed communities.  The CIB is excited by opportunities to invite SBGE faculty into these important communities.

    The 8th annual Social Venture Plan Competition Showcase Round was held on April 16.  Student teams from across SPU and from other universities pitched their plans to students, faculty and staff and to a large number of business professionals serving as judges.  The votes are in and here are your 2014 results.
