SPU School of Education graduates Regan Drew and Mike Wierusz were selected as two of seven educators from California, Oregon and Washington to receive the prestigous Allen Distinguished Educators (ADE) award. The Paul G. Allen Family Foundation recently announced the launch of designed this new program to spread innovation from a single classroom to teachers and students around the country.
Both Regan and Mike will receive $25,000 in funding and a year-long fellowship program to grow and share their work in entrepreneurship and engineering education. Regan is a teacher at Riverpoint Academy in the Mead School district, and Mike is the Sustainable Engineering and Design Teacher for Northshore School District. Congratulations, Regan and Drew!
