Pamela Stitzlein Davies is nurse practitioner with more than 25 years of providing advanced-practice primary care and specialty care in the fields of pain and palliative medicine. Her publications include an award-winning text on cancer pain management for nurses, and several book chapters and articles, including a research study in The New England Journal of Medicine.
Davies is a certified pain management nurse, and an advanced certified hospice and palliative nurse. She served as a member of state and national guideline committees on prescribing opioids for chronic pain. She received a post-masters adult/geriatric nurse practitioner certificate from the University Washington in 1997.
Davies is a popular national speaker on topics in pain and palliative care with a focus on primary care nurse practitioner practice. She is the recipient of the 2015 Distinguished Practitioner Award from the University of Washington School of Nursing.
