High School Senior Applicants

If you are a highly qualified high school senior, you may be considered for provisional freshman admission to the nursing major.  The decision is based on your application to SPU and provisional freshman admission to the major is limited and competitive.

Priority consideration for direct admission include:

  • An excellent high school GPA
  • Strong SAT or ACT scores
  • An Early Action application indicating nursing as your intended major

Progression into the nursing program requires that your GPA in the nine prerequisite courses is 2.85 or higher, with no course less than a “C” grade (2.0).  A maximum of two courses may be repeated to achieve the minimum grade of 2.0.
