SPU Applicants

In the Nursing Program, we believe the formation of Christian character, as evidenced by the heart, mind, and action, is a cornerstone of your education and leads to qualities seen in exceptional nurses.

Nursing Program prerequisites are typically completed during the first two years, along with core University requirements.

Eligibility

SPU students are those that are currently enrolled at SPU or have been enrolled at SPU within the past four quarters.  If zero credits completed at SPU, students must apply as a transfer applicant.

The minimum GPA required to apply for current SPU students is 2.85 in the combined prerequisite courses, with no course less than a “C” grade (2.0).  A maximum of two courses may be repeated to achieve the minimum grade of 2.0.  A minimum of four prerequisite courses must be completed by the application due date.

Meeting the minimum criteria for consideration of admission neither implies nor guarantees admission to the program.
