Tuition and Fees

In addition to direct instructional costs, Seattle Pacific Seminary’s tuition covers academic and student support services. Other benefits include use of athletic facilities (e.g. gym, locker room, and fitness rooms), the SPU Library, and the Kingswood House.

All tuition, fees, and other charges stated in this publication are payable in U.S. dollars ($US).

Fees for 2016–17

In addition to the cost of tuition, there are additional fees related to classes (e.g., pre-autumn intensives) and administrative and student support payable during your program. These fees are listed below:

Seminary application fee

  • $50, non-refundable
  • One-time; paid when applying to the Seminary

Matriculation fee

  • $100, non-refundable
  • One-time fee for Student Academic Services administrative support

Student body fee

  • $10, non-refundable
  • Autumn, Winter, and Spring quarters

Sea Pac card (SPU identification card)

  • Free ($25 replacement fee, if lost)

Lab fee, pre-autumn intensives

  • $250, estimated; non-refundable
  • Paid only when registering to take THEO 6001 and THEO 6002; non-refundable

Cross-cultural immersion (optional)

  • $2,000, estimated; non-refundable
  • Paid only when registering to take THEO 6980

SPU Library use

  • Free, included with tuition

SPU fitness rooms (e.g. weight-lifting, fitness and locker rooms)

Kingswood House (main floor and meeting rooms)
