At SPU, you will gain a superb education grounded in the gospel of Jesus Christ. But that’s only the beginning. You will also enjoy access to tools you need to influence the world for good — including a host of career and vocation services, resources, and opportunities we offer in the Center for Career and Calling.
Not sure about your professional future? We can help:
Our career counselors will be available to help you through the various steps of figuring out what you want to do with your life, finding a job or internship, and embarking on a career. If you find yourself thinking about graduate school, we can help you with that, too.
We offer several classes taught by career professionals that help you explore and create your professional journey:
- “Finding Your Vocation.” Address important questions about who you are and how to sense God’s call on your life.
- “Major and Career Exploration.” Learn to identify your strengths, abilities, interests, and vocational calling, and explore the world of work.
“College to Career Planning.” Explore many aspects of transitioning from SPU to a job or career.
- “Internship and Career Strategies.” Develop the skills you need to find an internship that is a good match with your skills and interests.

Exploring All the Options
“I didn’t know I wanted to study biology until halfway through my career at SPU. I visited the Center for Career and Calling website many times during my sophomore year, and it was a career counselor who helped me make my final decision to major in Ecology. She told me that I lit up when talking about the program and seemed more enthusiastic about it than anything else. I am very grateful to have had the opportunity to explore all my options.”
