Office of Financial Affairs

At Seattle Pacific University, the Office of Financial Affairs oversees the Office of the Controller and the Office of Budget and Finance.

  • Controller’s Office: Assistance with questions about payments, payroll, and general ledger.
  • Budget and Finance Office: For answers to questions about budget planning and modelling; financial data analysis and reporting; grant-application; and transactions such as staff and student payroll, reimbursements, budget transfers, and purchases.

Although we do not directly handle student finances and tuition, all other Seattle Pacific fiscal business comes through our area.

Important: Fiscal year-end close procedures

The University’s fiscal year-end, June 30, is quickly approaching. There are several processes integral to a successful year-end closing that require your attention. Please carefully review the “Payment-related activities” and the “Budget carry-forward” posted in General Accounting.

Note: January 1–December 31, 2018, the standard mileage rate is 54.5 cents/mile.
