Tucker Goodman, Class of 2016

Tucker Goodman, Class of 2016

Tucker Goodman wants to own a theatre someday, so he’s involved in everything his Theatre major can offer.

Not only does he act in and manage SPU Theatre productions, but he also serves as an electrician for the department.

“It’s important to me that I experience all aspects of theatre before I attempt to lead one on my own,” he says. “The production track allows me to experience it all — from designing sets to directing and stage managing. At Seattle Pacific, we have the opportunity to work with adjunct faculty and guest artists who are designers or directors from the professional theatre world.”

Tucker, who is a fifth-generation Falcon, has also managed to win a number of scholarships — all the way up to the prestigious Trustees’ Scholar Award, worth $17,000 yearly.

Mikaela Wilburn

Mikaela Wilburn

Call her involved. Junior Mikaela Wilburn, an Apparel Design major from San Pablo, California, doesn’t seem to lack energy — or drive.

Katie Couch

Katie Couch

Katie Couch might be new to SPU, but that hasn’t stopped the intended Biochemistry major from Ione, Washington, from jumping into service and a full plate of activities.
