Gerdon is a 2015 Seattle Pacific alumnus. While at SPU, he worked as an office assistant in Multi-Ethnic Programs and was president of the Black Student Union. He completed a bachelor’s degree in sociology with a minor in reconciliation studies. Since graduating, Gerdon earned a master’s degree at Seattle University in transformational leadership from the School of Theology and Ministry, while also working three jobs as a congregation engagement coordinator at Peace Community Center, a coach in One on One Basketball Inc., and a substitute academic instructor with Metropolitan Development Council of Tacoma.
Gerdon is excited to return to his alma mater and help students and recent grads feel connected and valued by SPU. As an alumnus of color, he is committed to stand in the gap and build connections with SPU’s increasingly diverse base of alumni. In short, he wants to give back to the university that poured so much into him.
