Alumni Prayer Network

Your prayers make a difference in the lives of faculty, staff, students, alumni, and friends of SPU — as well as in the life of the University. We invite you to partner with us in praying for SPU, the SPU community, and one another. Read the prayer requests and praises, praying as you are led, or submit your own. “God does nothing but by prayer,” writes John Wesley, “and everything with it.”

McKinley Hall

SPU is a praying community, and our alumni are some of our strongest prayer partners. Join us in making a difference in the campus and the world through the mighty power of prayer.

Current prayer requests
  • Please pray for all the student leaders on campus — that they would create a welcome environment for new and returning students, and be able to coordinate a fantastic year of events. Also, pray that they would be able to manage their time well and balance their responsibilities as leaders and as students.

  • Please pray for St. Paul’s Episcopal Church on Lower Queen Anne, and for members of the SPU community involved in leadership there — including faculty, staff, and students — as they begin working with Mother Sarah Fischer, the newly elected rector of the church. This is the end of a long season of searching and prayer for new leadership.

  • With new and returning students coming to campus this month, please pray for those students leaving home for the first time, that their time at SPU will be a blessing to them and their families.

  • Praise God for His provisions during times of transition, that my husband, Zac ’12, is employed in a fulfilling career. Prayer for our church community, Beverly Park Baptist Church, in Burien, which is experiencing tough times with the loss of loved ones and news of members moving out-of-state. Pray that He would encourage those staying behind and bring in the right people to serve in the community.
