name tagWelcome to SPU! We're excited you're here and we want to make sure you're prepared for your first day on campus! Accessing the Banner Info System as well as your e-mail account is essential to your first days on campus.

As a new student, you may want to look into purchasing a computer and software prior to arriving on campus.  For employees, a computer will be made available for use through your department.

Things you should do this summer:


Set up your SPU Accounts. You can easily configure your accounts; if you are a brand new user click here. If you previously took courses, please checkout this link: www.spu.edu/findmyid.

Log into your Webmail and Blackboard. Your SPU Username and Password gives you access to a variety of resources such as Banner, Webmail, Blackboard and more. After setting up your account via the links above, check out this link for instructions on accessing your email.

Purchase a computer. With all of the different brands available it can be confusing as to what computer you should purchase. SPU recommendations may be found on Buy A Computer.

Make sure your Computer is ready to go.   Make sure your computer has installed and updated antivirus software (Windows Machine) as well as the latest Operating System Updates (Apple and Windows).

Current students who have registered for classes or an employees of SPU have access to Microsoft software at a discounted price. Information may be found on Software Distribution.

Protect your Personal Information.   Since your SPU Username and Password is used to access many personal records, it is important for you to keep these private. Sharing this information may result in your account and other university services being compromised.

If you believe your accounts have been compromised, change your SPU Password immediately and contact the HelpDesk!
