I love intramurals, I love sports, and I love how much our students, faculty, staff, and alumni enjoy participating in our Intramurals Program. It’s great fun for all — including me — and I’m grateful for the privilege of being a part of it.

I graduated from Seattle Pacific in 2002 with a degree in psychology and a minor in youth ministry. My job as manager of Seattle Pacific’s Intramurals Program started on an interim basis in the fall of 2012. The following spring I became the full-time, permanent Intramurals manager.

While at SPU I was actively involved in intramurals and enjoyed participating in everything offered that I could (soccer and basketball were my favorites). As Intramurals manager I have instituted some changes and additions that have made the program even more popular:

  • The new registration system makes it easier for you to create an account, manage your rosters, and check out schedules and standings.
  • Statistics and recordkeeping are now part of many of the programs.
  • Recently I’ve reached out to form partnerships with other groups as well, including teaming with SPU’s Student Union Board to put on a highly popular dodgeball tournament.
  • I worked with an outside organization to train and develop student officials.

One of my goals as Intramurals manager is to bring joy into people’s lives. This job is joyful, and I look forward to all that the coming year has in store for us as together we do Intramurals at Seattle Pacific!
