As the ASSP Officer Core, we are here to serve you! Stop by our office in the SUB, email us, or give us a call.
Goals: This year, ASSP is going to focus externally! While we want to make sure our process works well, at the same time, we want to see students making a difference in this world. Therefore, we are going to focus on the issue of Human Trafficking as an organization. Contact me if you have any questions about this initiative!
Responsibilities: The role of the President is to be the voice of the general student body as well as the ASSP Senate to the University administration. This includes overseeing all the aspects of the ASSP through working with the vice presidents to better represent and serve the student body. In addition, I seek to recruit new leaders for all SPU leadership opportunities by engaging in student and community events. This year, the office of the President will be focusing on encouraging and increasing University unity as well as embracing the notion of creating change.
Main Contact For: Student voice to administration, new initiatives & projects, items of pressing concern.
Responsibilities: As Executive Vice President, I oversee the Student Leadership Development Committee, Student Senate and chair Senate meetings. I also ensure that student’s ideas and opinions are being represented and heard on campus. Senate as a body is responsible for delegating student funds and communicating with SPU’s administration on behalf of the students. I am stoked that I get to lead this body this year. Have an idea for SPU or something you want to see changed? Contact me!
Main Contact For: Anything related to Senate, information on creating a proposal, and student issues and concerns.
Responsibilities: As VPCA, the “Party VP,” I have the blessed opportunity to oversee all ASSP campus activities, as well as provide active leadership to the Student Union Board (STUB) and ASSP Clubs. I want to be an advocate for student clubs and organizations. SPU’s campus is full of students with passion and abilities for great activities and I hope to provide the resources to bring these passions and skills to life through new events on campus.
Main Contact For: Campus Activities, Club Information, Event Proposals, and any new clubs or activities on campus. Let me know if you want to get involved on campus!
Responsibilities: As VPM, I have the privilege to represent, advocate, learn from, and support the eight ASSP Ministries and nine coordinators for the SPU campus. This includes the two worship (Chapel and group), three discipleship (the SMC Program, Sharpen, and Relinquish) and three service ministries (Latreia, Urban Involvement, and SPRINT). I represent ministries at Senate on Monday evenings, hold Campus Ministry Council every week, plan Winter Retreat in early winter quarter, and collaborate with the ministry coordinators for Resurrection Week in early spring quarter.
Main Contact For: Any questions you have regarding ministries, Tent City 3, or any collaborations.
Responsibilities: As the VP of Finance, my role is to oversee all financial operations of ASSP. This means everything from overseeing the budgets of more than 50 fantastic student organizations, ensuring accuracy and responsibility in ASSP transactions, and guiding Finance Board, the financial advisory board of Senate. I am here to serve by acting as a support and resource for any student interested or involved with ASSP Finances. Please let me know if ever you have a question!
Main Contact For: Questions or comments regarding ASSP finances, expenditures and budgets; Reimbursements, Requests for Payments, and other Finance Forms; Finance related proposals.
Responsibilities: I am excited about the progress that SPU has made in their diversity efforts over the years. As the first ever Vice President of Intercultural Affiars, I have the wonderful opportunity to contribute to SPU’s legacy by providing even more opportunities for students to be a part of the growing conversation about diversity, reconciliation, race, and culture. I’m here to initiate, facilitate, and coordinate diversity efforts within ASSP, and to serve as a student resource for diversity efforts in the SPU community at large. I am also the Chair of the Intercultural Initiatives Committee (Catalyst), which works on a grander scale to address issues of race, ethnicity and justice through forums and events. Stop by and visit me anytime! I’m here to answer questions, talk, listen, and help you get plugged in.

I am the ASSP administrator of student services, which includes bus passes, newspapers, and Queen Anne Pool passes. I’m also in charge of marketing and finding great new discounts and opportunities around the Seattle area for SPU students. Most of my time will be in the back scenes getting things issued and prepped for each week, but if you have questions or ideas you want to see implemented on campus in terms of marketing or how to get out into the city, please drop by the office!
