Responsibilities: The President is responsible for day to day management of the ASSP office and direction of officers in regards to the fulfillment of their duties and responsibilities. The President is also responsible for recruitment of new leaders and items of student concern.

Public Relations Manager

Goals:

  • Work with the Student Services Representative to increase the frequency of, and expand the scope of student discounts and deals.
  • Create a uniform set of promotional videos to highlight the various facets of ASSP to the student body in a clear and effective manner.

Main Contact For: All things publicity, and any items of pressing concern.

Responsibilities: The Public Relations Manager is responsible for managing and marketing any services provided to students from the local community. Additionally, PRM is tasked with the marketing of all ASSP events.

Executive Vice President

Goals:

  • Students Empowering Students: move ASSP from “Students Serving Students” to “Students Empowering Students”
  • Maximize Leadership Efficiency and Effectiveness: provide the best possible platform for executing student-led change by means of efficient and effective leadership practice to extend the boundaries of what’s possible; including a focused refinement for the Student Leadership Development Committee.
  • An Easily Accessible Student Government: increase awareness of and interest in ASSP Senate by means of public relations; and establish a student government where everyone feels invested in empowering others. Where, as a team, we leave the community of Seattle Pacific University Better than we found it.

Main Contact For: Anything having to do with Senate, creating proposals that will go to Senate, student issues and concerns, and information about elections.

Responsibilities: As the Executive Vice President a good portion of the job revolves around Student Senate. I chair Senate meetings and ensure that proposals brought to us are discussed and voted on by the students who represent the various groups within SPU’s student body. The main goal of Student Senate is to make sure that student voices and opinions are clearly expressed, heard, and represented. Some of my other responsibilities include overseeing Student Leadership Development Committee and the Elections Task Force.

Vice President of Ministries

Goals:

  • Clear and consistent communication and marketing
  • Inculcating an attitude of pursuing and desiring diversity within and outside of ASSP ministries
  • Increasing the visibility of all of the ASSP ministries
  • Maintaining the excellence and continuity of ASSP ministries while also considering new and creative ways for students at SPU to encounter God together in a community
  • Synthesizing the various ASSP ministries' visions and particularities into a united front that necessitates cooperation between the ministries

Main Contact For: Any questions you have regarding our ministry programs and events, Tent City 3, or any potential partnership with the ministries. I also would love any ideas or feedback you may have for our ministries!

Responsibilities: As VPM, I have the privilege to represent, learn from, and support the eight ASSP Ministries and their coordinators. This includes the two worship (Gather and group), three discipleship (SMC Program, Sharpen, and Relinquish) and three service ministries (Latreia, Urban Involvement, and SPRINT). I represent ministries at Senate on Monday evenings, hold ASSP Ministry Council every week, plan the Winter Ministries Retreat, and partner with the ministry coordinators to plan Easter Week and other collaborative ministry events.

Responsibilities: I am here to oversee the fiscal operations of ASSP through advising the Senate Financial Board and Allocation Board or by assisting one of ASSP's clubs or organizations. The VP of Finance is in place to serve as a resource for the student body by listening to concerns and proposals brought to ASSP by the undergraduate student body.

Responsibilities: I am here to encourage and facilitate collaborative strategic planning and action toward achievement of diversity goals among all ASSP organizations. I will foster leadership development of students from diverse backgrounds. I am here to serve as a resource to students, student groups, faculty, staff, and administrators who are engaged from diverse backgrounds and intercultural activities, programs, and initiatives. I will do my best to bring concerns and recommendations regarding diversity issues to University Administrators.

Vice President of Campus Activities

Goals:

  • To support development of campus life that addresses, engages, and involves each student on campus, and to be available to equip students with the proper resources and direction to shape the campus culture themselves.
  • Everyone arrives to college with some sort of hopes and dreams, and my goal is to address those in some way - whether through supporting the programs that already make this happen, or equipping students with the proper resources and direction to take the reins themselves.

Responsibilities: My position exists to oversee and empower our Club Executive, Outdoor Recreation Coordinator, STUB (the Student Union Board), as well as our Media Coordinator and Media Technicians. I’ll also spend a portion of the year overseeing the Homecoming Committee in planning and implementing the events of Homecoming Week
