Four Year Career Plan
- Try out classes that you like and find interesting.
- Talk to students and professors in different majors to discuss career choices and find out what it's really about.
- Get involved in SPU activities and the community - this builds great skills and experience.
- Explore resources and services in the Center for Career and Calling
- Perform informational interviews (CDC handout - PDF) with professors, professionals and upper-class students to discover more about majors and careers.
- Write down what you want to get out of your college experience and develop short and long range goals.
- Explore "Choices Planner" a career guidance computer program, to begin the career exploration process.
- Take a self assessment test
- Take GS2001: Career Exploration: Discovering Your Gifts to participate in fun self-exploration that helps you understand who you are and how it relates to your major and career directions. Available Fall, Winter and Spring quarters.
