The Institute of Youth Ministry and Culture serves as a space for deep theological reflection that acknowledges the vocational and confessional aspirations of SPU faculty and students to stand alongside church and para-church practitioners in learning how better to translate the discipline of theology into praxis that embrace the Christian story, becoming biblically and theologically educated with and for today's youth. SERVE partially funded a three-year pilot partnership between Seattle Young LIfe, the SPU Art Department and the School of Theology Youth Ministry program for outreach to Hamilton Middle School. This program drew together SPU art and theology students to provide after-school art clinics for middle school students. For more information, contact
