SPU IEEE Branch wins First Place in Ethics Contest

SPU's IEEE officers attended a Region 6 (western states, Alaska, Hawaii) meeting in Portland, Oregon on October 17th where they won first place in a competition for applying the IEEE Code of Ethics.

Design Projects

Design ProjectsEach engineering major is required to team-design and construct an industrial or self-designed project. Typical EE projects require:

  • Analog and digital electronic circuit design
  • Development
  • Construction
  • And testing

Required components include formal documentation and the use of project management tools and principles. Interdisciplinary projects are encouraged. All projects require oral and written reports. The design projects include review and analysis of professional papers within a student's discipline. It also includes project teaming with business students from the Operations Management course.
