Transfer Students

Have you already studied at another college or university? Welcome to SPU! We’ll work with you to apply previously earned credit to your program of study here, from Engineering to Computer Science or Information Systems.

We are happy to talk with you about your individual situation. We want to help you reach your goals. Contact an ECS faculty member to plan your personal program, and reach out to an admissions counselor for more information about  applying to Seattle Pacific University.

Associate degree? Good idea. If you’re already a student in a Washington state community college, we encourage you to complete an approved associate degree before entering SPU. A Direct Transfer Agreement (DTA) associate degree works for all programs, but an AS-T or AS-T2 is preferred for engineering majors.

No Associate degree? No problem. Transfer students may transfer to SPU at any point in their degree progress and at any quarter.

See our Transfer Student Guides for more specifics about transfer options:

The suggested transfer coursework in these guides, along with associated 2-year plans, are depicted visually in our Suggested Course Sequence flow charts.

Find information here for incoming transfer students, regarding admissions, application dates, and financial aid. Also be sure to check out the Transfer Student Scholarships and transfer application requirements and deadlines.
