Glassybaby Funds Nursing Scholarship
Seattle-based Glassybaby, makers of beautiful and popular hand-blown glass candleholders, have partnered with SPU to establish a nursing scholarship. Founder and cancer survivor Lee Rhodes operates her business with a philanthropic mindset and has a heart for health care providers, particularly nurses. Read more at Glassybaby’s blog.
During three weeks in June, 10 percent of online and in-store sales were given to the scholarship fund when buyers mentioned a promotional code. In addition, a percentage of sales from the biannual “seconds” sale was also donated to the fund.
