Dan Martin

Message From President Dan Martin

On June 13 and 14, I had the privilege of participating with Seattle Pacific University’s Class of 2014 in the annual Ivy Cutting and Commencement ceremonies. This is always a significant time for graduates and families, but I think this year was special. I had the opportunity to get to know many of our graduating students personally, and I was thrilled to see them achieve their goal of earning an SPU diploma. The entire SPU community shared in the joy ― including the faculty who taught and mentored these graduates, the staff who guided them, the friends and classmates who supported them, and, of course, the family members who helped make it all possible.

Important Information for New SPU Students
If you haven't done so already, be sure to have your student register for New Student Advising. The final opportunity for Seattle is August 22, and there are also off-campus NSA events in Portland, San Jose, Pasadena, and Denver. Orientation on September 25-28 is another key event to plan to attend, and this also requires registration. Both Orientation and NSA are designed to help your student get a head start on a successful academic experience at SPU.
