Enjoy time with your son or daughter – and gain insights into your student’s campus life – by attending Mom’s Day. Hosted by the Office of Alumni and Parent Relations, this is the perfect reason to come to campus and enjoy lunch and an optional boat cruise with your student.

Highlights include:

  • Words of welcome from Pam Martin, wife of President Dan Martin
  • Performance by SPU Gospel Choir
  • Performance by Taproot Improv, featuring SPU alumni



Afternoon Activities
On and off campus
Experience your student’s home away from home.

SPU options include:

  • Explore SPU with your son or daughter. Visit residence halls and tour campus.
  • Take in the SPU Theatre production of “Elephant’s Graveyard” in McKinley Hall at 7:30 p.m. SPU students and parents may purchase tickets through the box office.
  • Enjoy a two-hour sunset Argosy cruise of Lake Union and Lake Washington
    Meet at South Lake Union — close to campus — at 3:30 p.m. (Cruise starts at 4 p.m.)

Dinner on your own      
We recommend enjoying dinner in Gwinn Commons with your son or daughter!

Mom's Day

Mom's Day 2014

On November 1, 2014, SPU moms and their students gathered for Mom’s Day. With the theme “Oh, The Places You’ll Go,” the day included a parent prayer meeting; a welcome by SPU’s first lady, Pam Martin; brunch; an optional cruise on Lake Washington; and a special presentation highlighting SPU’s study abroad programs.
