After a quiet summer, it’s a joy to see students return to campus. Our student leaders, and our faculty and staff members, are working hard to prepare for the arrival of new and continuing students. This is a wonderful time of year — so full of promise and anticipation about the year to come.
I’m delighted to report that our newly launched Center for Biblical and Theological Education is flourishing. This Center is one-of-a-kind — nothing like it exists on any other campus. Parents are invited to join us as we begin a four-year cycle of guided readings that will take us through the majority of the Bible.
While the Center is new, our distinctive commitment to embrace the Christian story and place it at the heart of all we do is not new. At SPU, the biblical text is the animating center for all our work. We offer our students “something more” — a vision for their lives that inspires them to engage the culture and change the world with the gospel of Jesus Christ. That’s what we’re all about.
