Moyer fosters a close-knit community where residents know each other well. Located on the edge of Tiffany Loop, Moyer is in the heart of central campus and close to most classrooms, dining locations, and recreational facilities. Moyer has several lounges for studying and hanging out.

In this fun and family-like hall, residents enjoy events such as a fall retreat and the Experience Moyer Project. Last year Moyer and Hill Hall councils also collaborate to plan a joint Hall Ball which has been held at venues such as the Museum of Pop Culture and WithinSodo.

Opened in 1953, Moyer was named in honor of Jacob Moyer for his years of service from 1925–1946 as a professor and dean at Seattle Pacific.
