The Center for Integrity in Business (CIB) at Seattle Pacific University (SPU) studies and addresses real-life challenges that business practitioners face and promotes a faith-based approach to business.
Guided by faithful scholarship and theological reflection, the Center creates tools, resources, and networks to empower business people to lead with integrity and to shape a more just and sustainable world.
We envision a world where business is recognized as a creative force, an ethical steward and partner, and a life-giving institution where individuals are encouraged to grow into their full potential. Leaders who are engaged with the work of the CIB are championing such perspectives in the broader marketplace.
Positioned for Success
Seattle Pacific’s expressed mission is to “engage the culture and change the world.” To do this, SPU prepares its students for service through the lens of Christian faith and values.
Within this academically and theologically rigorous environment is SPU’s School of Business and Economics, which houses the CIB. SBE is fully accredited by the Association for the Advancement of Colleges and Schools of Business — the top international accrediting body — which accredits only 5 percent of business schools in the world. SBE was the first business school in the 115+ member Council for Christian Colleges and Universities to achieve AACSB accreditation, and to this day remains one of the few institutions to achieve this elite status.
Additionally, SBE has one of the strongest teams in the world pursuing a biblical understanding and approach to business education and practice. It is recognized as a leader in this endeavor.
