Vote Smart

Time is running out, and we are closer than ever to the big election.  Monday evening is the final Presidential debate between the Democratic incumbent, President Barack Obama, and his Republican challenger, Governor Mitt Romney.

View the final Presidential debate, followed by an engaging SPU faculty panel discussion!

5:45–8:30 p.m., Monday, October 22
Weter Lounge

Sponsored by the SPU Debate Team

You can be in the middle of the action in Seattle when SPU students gather to watch the debate, then hear analysis and commentary from our panel of experts made up of SPU faculty. You will have opportunities to anonymously cast your vote via text message to record who you think won the debate and how well the candidates connected with you.

Following the debate and the results of your votes, three faculty experts will conduct a roundtable discussion and Q & A to further discuss topics addressed in the debate. Our esteemed panelists are:

- Don Holsinger, Ph.D., Professor of History

- Bill Purcell, Ph.D., Department Chair of Communication and Journalist
- Bill Woodward, Ph.D., Professor of History

- Emma Wendt, UScholar and Political Science Major
