PRESIDENT EATON ENGAGES THE CULTURE

One of Seattle Pacific University President Philip Eaton's priorities is communicating the institution's vision for "engaging the culture and changing the world" to local and national audiences. The following is a partial list of his recent writings and speaking engagements:

Religious Communication Association Address. November 10, 2000. "Engaging the Culture in Communication." Seattle Sheraton Hotel. President Eaton addressed faculty and administrators at the National Communication Association Convention.

Free Methodist Church Leaders Forum. January 26, 2001. Seattle Pacific University. President Eaton hosted leaders in the Free Methodist Church -- including pastors, SPU Board of Trustees members and the Pacific Northwest Conference superintendent -- in a discussion of how to clarify and enrich the partnership between SPU and the Free Methodist Church.
