The Gospel According to Miller
On December 1, Donald Miller’s arrival on campus was eagerly anticipated by students, faculty, staff, and visitors. Author of best-selling book, Blue Like Jazz, he tells SPU students that “engaging the culture is not rocket science.”

In a new monthly online column, “Response onScreen,” Response writer and film critic Jeffrey Overstreet ventures into contemporary cinema in hopes of catching a glimpse of something beautiful and true.

In the column’s debut, Overstreet reviews the strengths and weaknesses of recent big-screen tributes to Johnny Cash, Truman Capote, and Edward R. Murrow. Watch for upcoming commentary on Woody Allen’s Match Point, Terrence Malick’s The New World, and Steven Spielberg’s Munich.
